Spring has been warmly welcomed and here for quite some time now. With temps in the high 80's the past week it was definitely feeling more like summer. My hydrangeas + lilies have blossomed and my mint + lemon balm have exploded to supernatural proportions already (mojitos anyone?!). I have been steadily ear marking my favorite spring inspired fashions and creations from my favorite shops and have amassed quite the collection.
I am here to share them with you before the sweet smell of spring turns into the fiery heat of summer.
But first- let's make good use of all that mint and my new favorite fruit- KIWIS!
This recipe is sweet, tart and oh so refreshing.
Brought to you by Liren from Kitchen Confidante, one of my favorite food blogs.
Here's a little preview- click through to go to the site and enjoy the delightful story accompanying her recipe.
Now that you are refreshed and relaxed let's get down to the business of all things beautiful, sunny and bright!

Well, December has most certainly appeared out of nowhere.
We have already had quite a sprinkling of snow...our 10 hour drive to Philadelphia over Thanksgiving was absolutely gorgeous. A bit harrowing at times but quite the winter wonderland.
A few days late, but worth the wait- here is a wonderfully winter inspired gift guide for you to enjoy.
Love it or hate it- Halloween is here!
I always made my Halloween costumes as a young adult (and Mum did when I was younger- thanks!).
I love a good wig and getting wild with make-up. My favorite costume to date was Medusa.
I fashioned a Grecian gown out of a textured stoney green fabric. I painted my entire body pearlized greyish-green and made my chin-length hair even bigger than usual. I curled it and teased it and intertwined it with loads of rubber snakes that were sticking out everywhere. (Jean later found the snakes and ate them all). I think I was about 25 at the time and ended up hanging out with a group of friends that were not that into Halloween (booo) so I spent the night at a small concert venue and cocktail lounge in Philadelphia just casually looking like Medusa. As you do.
Tonight the spooky and scary meets the quirky and cute. With puns and pop-culture references a plenty- many people may be wondering "Do people get what I am?". It definitely helps to know your audience.
My husband and I were caught off guard last weekend for a party we forgot about- so we had to run out for last minute Halloween costumes. We went for Jon Snow and Cersei Lanister from Game of Thrones...and came across only a few fellow fans. Which was surprising. I was glad our friend's 11 year old girl didn't know who we were...I would have had some concerns! Most people thought I was just some Medieval/Renaissance lady and my husband...probably just a very tall man in an insane wig with a feathery cape and a sword.
Whether you are out with your children tonight, partying it up with friends, or out at the movies pretending it isn't Halloween...enjoy yourself.
I hope you like this rustic-spooky gift guide and please share in the comments if you plan on dressing up!
Whatever your plans, be safe + be happy.
Sometimes a gorgeous gift guide magically makes itself.
I was looking around Etsy this afternoon, viewing collections...checking out what's new in some of my favorite shops and a little bit of this magic happened right before my eyes. In just a few short moments I managed to accumulate a string of new finds that just melted together in a delightful way.
Touches of plum, frosted blues, soft lavenders, felt, silk, porcelain, flowers, soaps and skies overwhelmed me with an unexpected pleasantness.
I felt delightfully feminine and nostalgic for something...perhaps another time, another life, an English garden from my childhood days...I'm not quite sure...but it smells of lavender and it is lovely.
It's been raining here at P&P headquarters for what seems like all of October.
We've had tornado warnings, flooding, wild winds and even a power outage that lasted all afternoon. Prepping for the holidays has been keeping us busy and we have ideas brimming everywhere. New designs, new packaging, (new website!), new business cards, new logos, lots of custom Bridal orders for the fall.
I don't think I have ever been busier in my life...and it's comforting that this sort of excited mania has been balanced with cool and calming weather.
I thoroughly enjoy a good overcast rainy day.
You can take the girl out of Wales but...she will forever love the rain.
My favorite month is finally here.
While my head is still thinking it is June, the leaves are telling me otherwise. Our mammoth Oak tree on the front lawn has been very busy pummeling acorns at the house & windows scaring the daylights out of me. As much as I dread the thought of winter (still not over the last one) I absolutely adore fall.
October in particular, for reasons I believe to be quite obvious.
I hope you will enjoy this collection of festive handmade and vintage items to ring in this glorious month.
